Character in the learning.
I CARE—Integrity, Curiosity, Advocacy, Resiliency, and Empathy—provides a shared language for classroom choices, relationships, collaboration, and reflection.
A connected framework for what children learn, how they learn, and how they grow in knowledge and character.
The Educational Model connects educational purpose with classroom practice and learner development. The six-pillar School Model is its third component. Select a component to learn more.

Academic growth, character, and purposeful contribution give educational decisions a shared direction.
The whole child matters. High expectations belong alongside care, belonging, and challenge that responds to the learner.
Six connected pillars bring academics, STEAM, character, creativity, leadership, and future readiness together around the learner.
Teachers plan meaningful learning, use evidence of progress, and adjust challenge and support as understanding develops.
Students should experience belonging, thoughtful challenge, inquiry, creative expression, collaboration, and increasing ownership of learning.
Curriculum, educator development, learner support, family relationships, resources, and review processes sustain the educational approach.
The aim is growth in knowledge, reasoning, creativity, communication, ethical responsibility, independence, and readiness for future choices.
These pillars guide school design, learning, and relationships. Below is how they inform our planned approach for BrightPeaks’ opening Pre-K–5 program.
We plan to use each learner’s readiness and progress to guide challenge, enrichment, and support. Advanced and gifted education calls for deeper understanding and room to investigate, alongside strong academic foundations.
STEAM education connects science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. Children can ask research questions, examine evidence, design and test ideas, and explain what they discover. Technology supports investigation and communication.
Ambitious learning flourishes in trusting relationships. Our vision connects character and social-emotional growth with a culture where students feel known, valued, included, and supported.
Leadership begins with everyday responsibility: listening to a classmate, taking initiative, caring for a shared space, and contributing to a community. Age-appropriate service can help children connect knowledge with purpose.
The elementary years should open doors. We envision opportunities for learners to explore interests, develop their voices, collaborate, and discover strengths through the arts and experiences beyond core academics.
College preparation is part of BrightPeaks’ long-term Pre-K–12 vision. In the elementary years, we plan to emphasize reading, writing, mathematical thinking, research habits, and independence. Details for the secondary program will be developed as the school grows.
Six teaching practices in the shared model inform our planning for BrightPeaks. Educators use them in response to the child, the subject, and the learning goal.
Relationships, observation, and assessment help educators understand a child’s strengths, interests, and next learning needs.
Clear learning goals connect strong academic foundations with appropriate depth, complexity, and support.
Questions, discussion, investigation, and creative work invite children to think actively and explain their ideas.
Learning across subjects and real contexts helps children use knowledge in new situations.
Teachers and learners review progress, respond to feedback, and revise work to strengthen understanding.
Reflection, responsible choices, and gradually greater ownership develop alongside academic skills and character.

Digital tools can support research, creation, feedback, and communication. The aim is thoughtful use that strengthens children’s thinking and judgment. BrightPeaks’ devices and platforms will be announced.
These are the educational principles informing development of our Jacksonville school. Curriculum selections, enrichment opportunities, support arrangements, and program details will be shared as they are confirmed. Our long-term Pre-K–12 vision will be developed in stages.
